Re: What did you do today?
What did I do today? Crashed my road bike. FFS.
Going round a sharp corner on the Bristol to Bath cycle/shared path. I slow down a lot for the corner. Child on his own turning around on the corner. I swerved to avoid but swerved too far and hit the dirt. As I was going quite slow, I didn't have the balance to catch it from falling. Fell right, over compensated, fell left and scraped down the tarmac, smacking my head on the floor in the process.
I only bought my helmet last month and it has a nice dent in it too. I guess hundred quid well spent as I'm typing this now and not in the back of an ambulance...
Beginning to hurt now the adrenaline is wearing off and a nice big bruise is forming on my leg. No car fettling for a while.

Re: What did you do today?
Please just make sure you wear a helmet! Certainly saved me a trip to A&E today and possibly a long recovery time. I fell sideways and smacked my head, so wasn't even high speed. Dad came off the other month after hitting a drain cover and split his helmet in half! Walked away, which he likely wouldn't have done if he wasn't wearing one.
Spend like 60 quid or so and it won't be so restrictive nor a hindrence. Cheap ones are perfectly safe but they are heavy, uncomfortable and make your head hot. Thus unappealing to wear.

No seatbelts on bikes, they're far too dangerous.

Fuck! Glad your, reasonably, ok SiC! That’s looks nasty.
I fell off a bike once and ended up falling through a big rose bush. Shorts and tee shirt meant loads of very deep cuts and lots of blood!

Put a replacement starter on the pink Corsa. No injuries were sustained. Thankfully.

Re: What did you do today?
Well this
Purchased this for her to go to work in Peugeot 206 1.4 hdi. 12 months ticket, new clutch and gear linkages. Body is a bit scabby but it's clean inside and drives really well. Also £30 a year tax.
Thing is now a friend of mine and me managed to sort the avensis at 630 this morning. Already swapped insurance to the pug and taxed it. Wife pleased that the avensis is sorted but pissed that had to buy another car for no reason. Turns out that after Christmas I wanted to get a cheap van for fishing etc so I've now taken on the pug to run alongside the ioniq. Old car and Sunday best so to speak. Not fussed over sons bike and fishing tackle doing any damage to it as I was with the ioniq. 2 people in our house who drive,4 vehicles on the road. Neighbours love us!
Happened to this
Ignition barrel bust and decided it didn't want to turn. After me trying to sort it it decided it didn't want to recognise it's immobiliser. One upset wife so no happy life. - I scored very low on the autie test. I’m cheerful, happy, confident, like meeting new people, chatty and largely sociable. What the fuck am I doing on this forum?
