Re: 1951 Pontiac Chieftain
I love it when such boxes of bits arrive.
What I've learned in my post yank years is that such boxes for Euro tat always contain the wrong bits and/or when they call something a "kit" it's missing some vital component to carry out the job the kit is supposed to enable one to.

Re: 1951 Pontiac Chieftain
Unfortunately someone managed to put the wrong part into this one.
I ordered a bunch of a la carte bearings, apparently they have a full rebuild kit but they neglected to mention this fact
I would just have ordered the damn kit, I was only 2 bearings short of what's in the kit.
There goes the weekend.

But, but, but, the '56 with the Strato-Streak V8 had the all-new Strato-Flight Power-Smooth Hydra-Matic, no?

Yes, and all the innards were redesigned, too.
