Peugeot 405 executive estate.
I seemed to have acquired vehicle number 5 and agreed to buy said motor. The vehicle is being sold cheap as it has a short mot and a ABS warning light on. Does anyone, or Mr Junkman, how to connect diagnostics to the vehicle or how to get the diagnostic blinky thing to work. I have lexia, which is PSA diagnostics with varios different leads and wondered if there is an option to connect it somehow.

Re: Peugeot 405 executive estate.
There's a connector behind the ABS pump that you ground to make the ABS light flash. Mine developed a fault just before the MOT last year but nothing I did got the light to flash. The ABS ECU is in the scuttle panel on the passenger side, mine had somehow had water in it, even though the cover was securely in place. A replacement ecu sorted the problem. https://autoshite.com/topic/31020-retur ... ty/page/5/ There are photos towards the bottom of that page. I did find a list on the net somewhere of the fault codes but not sure where the link is at the mo.

That took some finding again, hopefully that'll direct you to the right page.
Edit, it doesn't work directly. Open the page, click Diagnostics at the top, then scroll down the left hand sidebar and select Bosch 2E ABS.

Re: Peugeot 405 executive estate.
I'm sure a bit of creative wiring and possibly a delay timer could resolve the ABS light until you can fix it properly, I'm not sure but isn't abs light not working pass and advise anyway?
