What did you do today?

Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

I don't know the current US market for home-grown captive-import type stuff like that but I would imagine rarity to be chief amongst its attributes.
Unless anybody plans a "will it do 300 mile" YouTube odyssey will the rarity-based value increase proportionally to additional spending?

I'd be inclined to give it the heave as it stands. I only make this comment from my standpoint, though - if I got it nicer I'd end up keeping it.

Yesterday was unfortunately the last Lancashire Automobile Club Manchester to Blackpool run. I worked flat out on my station wagon to get it ready for the rally and am pleased to say it completed without issue. It was a great run and a real shame it had to be the last.

TL:DR World is shit now.

Anyway, nice run for the Minor, Squire glad it did OK.

Advisory mark for leaving the ends on the cable ties, though....Pet hate of mine.

Cheers guys. I had to make it mechanically fit (hub oil seal, replacement gearbox first major outing, repair head gasket and blown water pump etc). I will carefully remove the cable ties to use again, hence no snippage.

Washed and then POLISHED the Jaguar. noticed in the bright sunshine the bootlid was still patchy in the middle by the screen so broke out the decent polish and did it properly, it's come up reet luvly it has!

Also had a disaster... I've run out of Meguirs fast wax stuff! I was reduced to using some other stuff that I bought so long ago I can't remember the make and, surprise surprise, it did a good job! Doing 'proper' polish on the roof is a no-go for the aged and decrepit so fast and easy solutions are very welcome.

Let the electricity board do the hard work for you. This cost $68 and is worth every nickel.
