They do manage some kind of forward motion. Once up to speed* they tend to stay there no matter what you do with the throttle. I do like a W123, a 230CE Coupe would do nicely.

Only very gradually, especially up hill into the wind when towing a caravan, terminal velocity in such cases is 45-50 mph,

I’d love to see a race along a runway between a 200D, a Serena D and a Kia 1.1D. You could turn up for the start, go for a spot of lunch and return to see them finish
