Brodes putting on a telephone voice in them clips.. My mate owned Martin Thomas's Camaro as seen at Crystal palace reunion .. (BBC 100 greatest sporting moments 1971 Osram crystal palace YOUTUBE) with Mike Crabtree reunited with his Escort ,,Martin in theCamaro and Gerry Marshalls son in a recreated Viva replica . Martin and Mike drove their old cars around the old circuit in a demo .
They look like the 2 old boys in Pappilon film, hobbling along together .. white hair ,arthritis ..After struggling to get these 2 elderly men in their old cars and strapped in , Dave Brodie comes along ....and there's a hush...like...God appeared innit !
He pokes his head in the Camaro, says to Martin "You silly old cunt..what the fuck do you think you're doing sat in there ?"
Martin was a bit taken aback...then realised who it was .. i've got pics ,i'll try find them . The 3 of them spent 1/2 hour chatting racing after .

I can remember seeing all those cars and drivers racing back in the day, it was brilliant. Sadly Martin Thomas passed away last year. I also used to have a poster of Run Baby Run on my bedroom door, it was a shot of it at Druids Bend Brands Hatch with Mike Chittenden's tatty Anglia Twin cam right up its arse. Them's was the days.
