Re: 1986 Suzuki Swift convertible
Neither of us like autos and there's too many niggles for a car my missus would drive at times.
Basically I'm not prepared to buy another car until I can see some light at the end of the tunnel.

I still can't believe those are that cheap. I drove them when new and it's still a new car in my head.

Everything newer than a Model T seems to be that by your recent posts.

C70 cab seems to be favourite. I like the W124 convertibles but they're ridiculously overpriced in my opinion. Anyway it's all moot at the moment, especially as my shares have tanked big time and they're going to be used for the lads flat deposits.

Next time I speak to him I'll ask him.
Mind you he's just bought a massive motor home which blocks the garage, and most of the drive as well, and it must be in the garage as I've never seen it. He may have some pics though that I can borrow and then scan.

Being in the back with the hood up is probably very similar to being in the Black Hole of Calcutta.

Re: 1986 Suzuki Swift convertible
I recommend the diesel manual gearbox version of these, cheap as chips, economical, nice to drive. Make sure the prop shaft is still attached and there are no strange noises from the clutch.
