Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

There are quite a few cars that I would like to try "if it wasn't a convertible".
Makers hardly ever get around to making a coupe (for me) from the soft top.

MG did it, and Mercedes with the SLC. Any one else, ever?

In 20 years time we might say Z4. Probably not “for you” though admittedly. And folding hard tops shouldn’t count. So punt that out of the arena. Did any coach builder do a Stag?

I'd forgotten the Jensen Healey, but that is an estate, not a coupe, like the Z3 which I'd also forgotten. Coupe/ estate is an irrelevance, the roof is the thing.

Not the TR7, that started as a coupe. But I should have remembered the GT6 as that is as much derived from the roofless Spitfire as it is from the Vitesse.

There were both sorts of Elan, but I don't know which came first. Lotus didn't bother to coupeify the '90s Elan, which is the one I was imterested in. As usual.

Cor yeah! And I was at Gooders Revival in 2001 when a freshly created one got stuffed on the first corner in its race. I have some wonderful before and after shots taken literally minutes apart. Pre-digital so in a box somewhere.

Classic triumph standerd 10 hotrod

Only one of those words is possibly correct.

The others are, largely, what hangs beneath the rear bumper. If it had one.

I had one of those, a white/red trim 1973 L plate 350SLC, a fine machine.
