Got a three and a half ton bottle jack for free from work, found it buried while I was rearranging the corner of the shop where the long term projects are languishing as one needed pulling out. Has an Iveco sticker on it.

I was thinking I'd just drop in the running gear from a VAG diesel...RetroShite wrote: ↑Wed Sep 11, 2019 9:01 pm You'll just have to give up on it and get a modern car on finance...

Re: What did you do today?
Today I changed the coilpack on my transit camper.
Full power was restored, in fact it is more responsive than before and is a lot smoother.
I'd forgotten how brisk a 2.0 twin cam, petrol transit can be.
Good craic.

Is that the same 8v twin cam I4 fitted to late Sierras? I always liked how well mine drove when I had one years ago.

Re: What did you do today?
Yeah, same engine.
Slightly different cam profile for more torque low down but the same essentially.
It's a hoot in a Transit. Apparently, it'll do 110mph, so I'm told...

fixed mrs broken Bosch hedgetrimmer. the cutting blade support broke because it is the weak point. Bosch want £65+ the world to replace it. new unit is £110.
Fixed mine for less than a tenner, did take me 3hours though but I had fuck all else to do

It sure is. Took it to the Assen Moto GP last year.
The coil went 3 days before the Isle of Man and I couldn't get one in time so it's been sat thinking about it's actions for a while now.
Glad it's fixed.
