What did you do today?

Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

Picked up fil's S80 this afternoon. I'm giving it and £350 for a pug 107 with 133k on the clock from Tom13 on the beige.
A decent run to Bromsgrove in the morning 235 miles and just over four hours each way. All expenses paid too. I love a decent road trip.

Bought a daily/modern.

Civic FN2 Type R GT.

96k, three months ticket but good history, book stamped to 60k. Last owner since 2018, bereavment sale.

Over the standard Type R, GT gets you cruise, dual zone climate, front fogs, power fold mirrors, premium sound system... this one also has optional satnav and 19" wheels. It's really straight but the bumpers and mirror caps would benefit from paint. However significantly for Milano Red, there's barely any lacquer peel.

I paid £3250 which usually would get you a 150k example.

How is the rust on the windscreen lip? The Type R are always the worst for it.

Sat nav is hilariously complex to use. Hands free is only voice activated. So you end up shouting at it trying to understand you. "Please repeat" is something you'll get used to.

First rain in a couple weeks.

Forecast? Rain all weekend then dry out for the week. Apparently it's due to get hot again which sucks. I was hoping to put a bit of time in on the Plymouth's trunk this weekend.

The BMW is on the MOT ramp as I post this.

I'm hopeful.

I bought a new old stock E36 wing from ECP, £18.

Scour through their site and you can pick up stuff like this. I don't need a wing and I have a pair of good used ones but for £18, WTFN?

Well, it's failed.

Looks like I'll be taking the civic on holiday next week.
