Classless cars that say nothing about you? Is there any? Were there ever any?

Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

I reckon the A4 and 3-series estates are modern classless cars. Pretty much all the car you ever need. Also still affordable on finance or just bought outright.

Smart enough to think you're not a pauper but not too flash that it gives the wrong impression if you do have a lot of money. So many about that they are anonymous to drive around in.

Plus a 15 year old aldi or bm look the same as a new ones. Fit a wanker plate to a recent one and people will think you're loaded.

I think that I'm out of step as I'm not bothered whether people think I'm loaded or not. The wealthy people I know tend to go around in 10 to 15 year old cars on their original plates, they're not bothered what people think.

Exactly. I knew an ex-BA Pilot who was absolutely minted and with at least 6 properties. His daily (amongst the hoards of cars he had) was a knacker old Nissan Prairie (about 15 years old) and he dressed like a right old scruff.

The ones with the solid-gold granny annexes never are flashy.

Some of the gold is probably going to be sold off to pay for flat deposits for the lads.

FTFY M8.

3 Series Touring and 5 Series (any) - but not M Sport. They're nice and just blend in.

Rolls Royce Wraith - fucking baller.

Any Bentley. just...no.

Anything Audi. No. Well, maybe a base model Avant, expensive registration and rarely washed for that country set look.

As ever, a £1500 banger with a 20 grand number plate gives the 'new money shouts, old money whispers' vibe. A mouldy 2006 Jazz with FRO1 just says it all.

You need a classless society for a classless car. 3.8 Buick Regal of 20 years ago. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/ ... _Regal.jpg
Would neither intimidate a Toyota driver or dissapoint a Cadillac driver.
Just as popular with granma as grandson.

In class-obsessed Britain? Every single thing, thought and act has it’s position in the class ladder so no chance of a "classless” car here. I have met more than one classwanker who genuinely thought he was a superior organism because his million-selling shitbox had a GL badge.

It probably explains why the "trim level" is such a British thing. You never had all this L, GL, GLS, Ghia nonsense on Yank stuff and the Yerpeans only seemed to bother with two levels - cloth or velour.

Honda Accord
Toyota Avensis
Mazda 6

All of which are just "An Car" that you wouldn't look twice at.

The 'Merkins obsess over the next year model instead of trim levels
