I tipped the wink that the building was about to be demolished to someone who liked photographing that sort of thing and they popped along and took some pictures. They weren't the easiest thing to photograph because of where they were. However, imagine you are sauntering round a derelict and very abandoned part of a plant, you turn a corner and come face to face with this.
It was more than a little unsettling.

Almost looks like a row of Soyuz capsules in that view.

Re: Found pics
They were sitting in the middle of the R3/R4 buildings at Tullis Russell at Markinch. That part of the site was demolished about a decade ago to make way for the bio-mass plant that has been a complete and utter and total raging success*

Re: Found pics
Around 1950/52 the Norton Featherbed was winning the World Motorcycling Championship. It was designed by the brilliant self-taught Ulster engineer Rex McCandless, whose next venture was the Mule, a lightweight all-terrain vehicle for the armed forces. It had four-wheel drive, a Triumph 650cc engine at the rear, and could carry four soldiers and their equipment. If it was stuck, three men could easily pick it up. Rex’s interest was in design rather than production and while the Mule was successfully tested for the Army nothing came of it.

Re: Found pics
Apparently so aye, I don't think I've ever seen one. But like a Disco commercial they plated the windows and left the back seats out of a two door.

Re: Found pics
Someone told me the commercials were far more reliable as they took a disco passenger car, finished, from the production line , and stripped it to the bones ,did the commercial conversion , and then rebuilt it by hand . .?

I think the Disco was done by SVO like the Defender 130, so I guess that's possible.
