I agree. Far easier doing the rough sanding by hand.
Looking back the kit was a waste of fucking money.

My magnetic phone holder kept falling out so I stripped the vent down. I drilled a little hole to fit a screw and also drilled my finger ffs.
I need to find a way to fit this cup holder now. There are no cup holders in a 2004 car. That's a great bit of design.

Stripped it and there was no way to attatch it. They're fiddley little bastards when they're apart.
My solution is a bit Heath Robinson but it works. Meh.

Trade engineering.
If in doubt, put some more wood screws into it.

I don't understand the need for cup holders, it's not difficult to finish your drink before you drive off.

Stripped the middle one and couldn't find a way to attatch it. They're fiddley little bastards to fit back together.
More wood screws to the rescue. It's a bit Heath Robinson but it's ideal.

Cup holders are an American thing. Usually there to fit those super sized gallon fizzy drinks that you're supposed to consume over the space of a few hours (or a few minutes in reality for most) and the massive hot drinks from a drive thru. Only really became a standard thing on any car in the early 2000s.

There is an OEM cup holder that was an optional extra back in the day.

Hmm. Can anyone spot a problem? This is my view.

I'll swap it with the phone holder one then all it's obscuring is the A pillar.
