Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

Did you measure the threads? Are you sure the heads hadn't rusted down to ½"AF?

Haven't measured the threads but the heads haven't rusted much. Nuts are also half inch so fairly sure they're not original.

I've ordered new correct ones but will put it back together with what I have temporarily for its mot tomorrow and see what else needs doing.

All has to come off again anyway for the wheel bearing.

What are the collective thoughts about this please? Just got a clear MOT except for a fall on the excessive oil leak.

I thought the Aeros don't get on well with LPG without buggering them up?

If it's done that mileage on gas and it's still running on 4 I'd say that one is ok, it's probably got a flash lube kit for to stop valve seat recession.

I know several people on here have had them, do they have a known failure leading to pissing oil out?

I know mine had an oil leak, can't remember where though.

I've still got a spare rad for a manual though, if that's any help.

No LPG but plenty of room to put the tank. Weird to see one in RHD

Those Blazers were official imports around 2000/2001. About the same time Ford tried flogging their big 4x4 here.

It would but I'm trying to find something a little more economical to run than the Maverick we have at the moment. There's also another RHD blazer for sale for £500....Eddie put me off them when he said the one he had had the fuel efficiency of a V8 and the power of a 4 cylinder....
