It breaks my heart to say it, but the last old school car out there is the MG Flea. Not much else is recognisably linked to the '80s.

I see what you mean about the corsa. It even has the backward shark fin that was unique to the DS.

The side profile is out of proportion.

Never noticed that, but now can't unsee it. That rear door looks like an utter joke.

Peugeot have really come back from the dead. These 208's are everywhere here. I have to say, it's not a bad looker.
The Corsa doesn't bother me - to me it's the best looking one yet. If you asked me what a 2012 Corsa looked like I'd have to Google it. From 2006 to 2019 they are just one bland looking lump to me.

I get confused between astras and Corsas these days. I'm pretty sure a new Corsa is as big externally as my astra. The new focus is as big as an older Mondeo and the new fiesta is pretty much on par with a MK1 focus.
I was following a new car last night and I was sure it was a fiesta in how it was styled and the led sweeping back lights. Upon closer inspection it turned out to be an Hyundai i20.
Mind you it's been that way for years. My MK1 focus isn't much smaller dimensions wise than a MK2 granny estate

Skoda is definitely not upmarket going by the SUV thing my brother-in-law had. The interior was very flimsy and basic.

I don’t mind an Octavia. They seem to absorb a lot of miles and still feel like new. A 1.6TDI Estate would suit me.

Octavia Scouts seemed a good idea. I expected to see them on farms everywhere like the proper old Subaru Legacys when they came out.

Stellantis brand dead pool speculation. Which will be the first to get the Pontiac treatment? Lancia or Vauxhall?
