15k service done, front pads replaced and cleaned. I even treated the preload adjuster to a dribble of acf50 as they are known to seize.

If the tyre isn't directional can't you just put in on the opposite way to use the unused side of it?

No cause they are directional and wear in the middle first from all the straight bits of road.
