A Lynk and Co...

I though it was a rental company badge on a regular boring normal suv.
But no, it's a thing. My client rented it at CGD airport.
One of these overtook me coming through France earlier this week-had to catch up with it to see what it said on the tailgate. The odd rear lights attracted my attention first.
This was also in France, a Mark IV, looked very nice condition in and out.

And this ugly bastard near home on Thursday. No idea what engine was in it, but even the best V8 sound track could not make it any less undesirable...
Saw this as we came off the A31 into Cadnam this afternoon....This actual car with its highly appropriate number plate and from what could be seen as it passed every bit as tasty as it appears in this Bonhams listing. They sold it for 25K in 2017, probably can add another ten bags to that now....

Dear me what happened. Where's the pride? They're just mass produced plastic garbage now along with all the rest.
They went to shit in the early 90's with the cheap as fuck steel from the Chinese (great bunch of lads) which rusted like fuck.
Didn't Russian steel nearly finish Lancia or Alfa where they had to buy back all their rusted out shit heaps?
They, Audi and BMW were all competing at that time to have 2 million sales per year. Pretty good for directors bonuses, especially as they'll be long gone once the true cost eventually surfaces.
It's like they're run by accountants and I don't say that in a positive way, not that you could in that sort of industry.
Unfortunately it is also a bit of a sad reflection on today's car buying section of society. They wouldn't have fobbed some of that shit off on the average W123/W126/R107 buyer. Or 100S Coupe or E3/E9 BMW enthusiasts come to that....
