Re: Wobland Spottage
God knows. I thought they were MX5 clones - when I first saw the casualty this morning (from the back) I thought it was an MX5. All I know is it ain't no Fiat 124 Spider. Something else identifying as something else, I suppose.....

Re: Wobland Spottage
A brief history for Hooli.
850 Spider rear engine
124 Spider, what old farts ( like me) think of as a 124
Like the MGB it got old and fat but the Yanks still bought it.
Amarth 124, a bit useful as Rally weapon in its day and what the MX5 thing is inspired by.
Barchetta, Punto in a party frock only ever LHD even here.
New 124, basically a new Cherry Europe, Jap car Wop badge.
Dino Spider, just because the picture came up on Google.- Hooli

Excellent use of Burds in the Fiat explanation, too.

Re: Wobland Spottage
I think they are actually built by Mazda on the next line to the MX5. The best of Italian and Jap car making / design / electrical / rust proofing put together.mercrocker wrote: ↑Mon Jun 26, 2023 2:49 pm It was this thing.....The local lie rag called it a Fiat 124 Spider. Hooli's description would seem more apt.

Re: Wobland Spottage
Yeah, it's an MX-5 with different front and back, and a Multiair Turbo instead of the Mazda 2.0.
