Re: Wobland Spottage
A few years ago my mate bought a mechanically perfect but scruffy one for £500 that he planned to be a rolling restoration. It was bloody quick, but was a horror to get around bends. New shocks and suspension refresh sorted that. Over time, he got it sorted.
I though it a fantastic car, but he sold it as soon as it was finished, and bought a solid MGB to restore.

I remember someone I worked with having one when they were new, he said it didn't go around corners then.

Re: Wobland Spottage
I came across a couple on the way back from work sometimes when in my kit car, I could happily keep up when hopscotching traffic as it had plenty of punch at lower speeds. The bird driving the one just fucked off into the distance when on the local bypass tho. Get up to about a tonne in a 7esque motor and the aerodynamics of a brick with a steep screen really reduces performance. She was not hanging about!

My mate flogged some of his old broken tat and bought a n/a Fiat Coupe. I still haven't had a go in it (or seen it yet). I reckon it might be a little bit fucked.....

Re: Wobland Spottage
They liked to rot in expensive to fix places years back, no matter now. I did test drive a naturally aspirated one once but handed the keys back saying it was nowhere near fast enough, look on his face He was a trader I sort of knew and he'd figured I must have thrashed the fuck out of it. That one was very yellow too!mercrocker wrote: ↑Tue Aug 01, 2023 7:14 pm My mate flogged some of his old broken tat and bought a n/a Fiat Coupe. I still haven't had a go in it (or seen it yet). Try every time
Open the camera app
Tap on 1x zoom
Use 2 fingers to tap on the screen at the same time
Or just buy something that works.

Re: Wobland Spottage
Not the usual spottage but this little lot were parked up at Bridgnorth on the Severn Valley railway. The dark red one looked possibly expensive?
