Re: Stupid questions about motorised conveyances
Maybe it's an age thing but there's nothing now that immediately springs to mind as being 'desirable'.
I suppose for me the nearest is the F Type convertible but the level of want is not remotely worth the massive hassle of the discussions that would be needed with my missus. I guess that I've given up on life that way.

Don’t worry if it’s like other modern Astons it’ll have 10 year old Mercedes SatNav and buttons plus a general air of an upmarket kit car.

Re: Stupid questions about motorised conveyances
Now on a caravan site next to Windermere, got across here fine over the top of Shap on the motorway.
Pulled into campsite and turned off while I went into reception.
Came out and car refused to start, just nothing on the key.
At this point I'm having flash backs to last year's disaster, pulled out the jump leads and it went instantly with a jump, I hope it was a bad connection on the battery leads, have nipped them up as they were slightly loose and it's been fine since.
Fingers crossed!

Re: Stupid questions about motorised conveyances
I did exactly the same on my T25 a couple of summers ago. Got it out of storage and FIDDLED with it....."Oh, that main earth could do with some vaseline under it". Yeah, twat, maybe TIGHTEN the fucker right up afterwards. It vibrated looser all the way to Eastbourne and halfway back before refusing to re-start after a tea stop. I did eventually trace the fault to my own hand but only after the four of us onboard had decamped to the verge and all the deckchairs and other crap removed from the battery compartment lid and the toolbox extracted from under the rear seat.....
It was raining, too.

Re: Stupid questions about motorised conveyances
Restart problem occurred again tonight, been out and about all day but have left it for a while before restarting, drove back and thought we would stop off for an ice cream. Ice cream bought and consumed turn key and nothing, I can hear a faint click but more like a normal relay than a starter solenoid.
Checked everything I could think of and got nowhere. Rang recovery and sat down for a long wait 15 minutes later get a call from the recovery guy who's just about to pull in.
Describe problem and he asks me to show him what happens, bloody thing started instantly.
Drive back to campsite, it's fine, started first turn off the key.
Struggling to think of any thing common to both non restarts - it was pouring down beforehand this time but it's not like I've taken it wading.

Re: Stupid questions about motorised conveyances
I bought my V50 as a non starter with the same symptoms. It was just the pigtail cable for the negative to the suspension turret. It looked absolutely fine but cleaning it up solved the problem and it's still starting OK now years later. It'd had a new starter motor less than a year beforehand no doubt to try and sort the same problem.
