Re: What did you do today?
I borrowed this from a mate who hasn't used it in years. I had a fuck about with it to see if it works. The intention is to use it to set up the mixture on my XR2. I'm not entirely convinced by it but I will give it a go. I cleaned the K&N air filter as well, it was minging.

Is your XRpoo injection? I've still got the special tool* for Bosch K-jetronic somewhere.

Have you heard of the gunson colourtune? I used to use one on my metros. Ideally you need a bright blue flame iirc.

Kids FFS!
Run it as you want to check. Say flat out at midrange, drop the clutch and flick the ignition off. Pull up, take a plug out and look

Nah!, it's got a Weber DMTL carb. I used a similar special tool on the fuel injection on my XR3i back in the day.

Re: What did you do today?
Is that the square 32/30? Same as the XR3? I put one of those and an injection exhaust (much better manifold) on a 1.6 Onion back in the day. It was as quick as a 1.6i afterwards

Re: What did you do today?
Yeah, that's the one. Mine has a K&N fitted, the top has K&N plus XR2 cast into it, Probably rarer than an original air filter housing.
