I ran a 1.8T Convertible a couple of years ago. Not a bad car really but it was at ‘that’ age for German cars. There always seemed to be something wrong with it.
Remove the fuse box lid on the drivers side of the dash (open the drivers door) and check that the red handled T tool for emergency hood raising is there.

Drove it home this morning with the windows and roof up and the engine's barely audible at all. It's very refined and doesn't mind what gear it's in and pulls well from anywhere in tbe rev range.
I can drive it through Newcastle i'm pleased to find although I'd have to pay in Bristol and Brum for some reason.

There is no reason on earth to ever go to Bristol or Brum though, so no loss.

Had apps for Onecall and Hastings on my phone. I logged into them both and Onecall is my van and Hastings the TT.
Cheers people.

10 miles of town/stop start/30mph dirving. I can live with that. It would be low 20s in the tt.

Just put it in for a full wash and valet including the roof a Eastern European car wash emporiium at Wallsend. It stinks inside of mank and I couldn't take anymore.
I've never used them before but they're only a mile walk away. For £65 it's worth the risk.

"stinks inside of mank"? Is this a Newcastle/Northern phrase for weed or something like that?
