What did you do today?

Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

If the panel gaps are too good people will start looking confused at it and asking what is it, is it a Datsun of some sort?
An eighth inch off here and there makes it look BL and therefore removes the car from the surreal uncanny valley.

For instance, light at an oblique angle down the side of the car. By the seventies, the tooling and workers were well out of line so that's the best of British, right there.
The wing gap is to make it look sporty as if the entire front end flips up, like a sports car.

I just washed the Pontiac and leathered it down because my lovely neighbor decided to mow her lawn after I spent the whole afternoon cleaning the car.
She knew what I was doing and why but I'm pretty certain it simply didn't occur to her that maybe she should wait until I had left.
I don't think she's had to wash a car in her life. No foul intent, just not really thinking it all through.

That driver's door is dropping nearly as much as my Midget's did.

Mr Angry got angry with the suspension top, not because he hated it, but his tight fisted Yorkshireman owner had let out the Yorkshire war cry of "How Fucking Much" when he saw they wanted twenty odd fucking quid for the rubber dust cover for the new suspension bits for the Note.

Fuck that, old one off, washed and ready

Fueled up, jumped on the interstate and head home.

Altogether a nice day. Car needs aircon.

Presumably there are aftermarket air con kits readily available over there?

They didn't even manage to get an example of a properly painted wheel without marks on for the front cover of their brochures. Literally someone went "This'll do" and slapped it onto the cover.

As a 1968 car, mine would have been one of the very first under the BL banner. Maybe a bit more motivated and positive in those early heady days?

That said, mine has had so many repairs over the years, it's certainly not very original.

Why do tyres have that ribbed section around the outside (top right near the MG. text that goes around the outside)? Never really thought about it before

Also why has MG got a full stop after it. Boring/lazy use of font there too.
