Glass on these I think.

Doesn't stop the glass falling off as the glue separates as they age though.

Tbh it's a B7, owners get used to bits falling off like arm rests, glovebox lids, cupholders, door handles, etc. The B8 is much better in this regard.
TT Mk1 convertible is even worse and more prone to having it's glass fall out.

Not read the thread. I've had to do the odd bit of work lately and have fallen behind a bit.

I am now fully appraised of the sort of people who enjoy soot in the hair motoring.

It shows that you have succeed in life!

Too right, especially if it's got a good heater. My old man learnt something new the other week when it started to rain when driving in Wales in the Z, I refused to stop and we just drove thru it, maybe a few drops on us but you'd have got wetter stopping to put the hood up. Several showers over maybe 200 miles that day and the roof stayed down the whole time.

Every other convertible we saw that day had the roof up, what's the fucking point?

My MGB is pretty good at that, once over about 20mph or so it goes over the top of the screen.

I am sure that if I sat on the other side of the church I would agree. However, I don't so I can't.

I actually don't mind them, despite the flimsiness of that generation Audi. The previous B6, with its more serious looking front, is a much better looker though imo. B7 is a much softer, feminine front end.

On the B7 for me it'd be 2.0t if on a budget/want to remap or 3.2 V6 quattro for the performance and noise. But ideally the S4 with the 4.2 V8. They're expensive for what they are though.

B6 engines are all a bit limp except the S4 with the 4.2 V8.

All floppy tops though and the saloon or estates are much less flexible and handle far better. Still all very lardy cars to be able to chuck around reasonably easily.
