Re: Found pics
Beautiful cars and very aspirational too, before volume was everything.
Even Alpina is closing up shop soon.
I wonder how many kids nowadays have a picture of an X7 on their bedroom wall?
Far fewer than had a leaping 3.0CSl back in the day I imagine.

Re: Found pics
Pic 1
That CA and Rag and Bone Man give a 50’s vibe but the R12 puts it 2 decades later ( I know the CA is avery late one)
What do we reckon to the green estate ? I’m thinking Opel Rekord.
Pic 2
I used to go to that Nat West every day in 81/82, wonder if the late Allegro with a pop up sunroof is because it’s an ex-Panda Car. You can’t move round there now for Cullinans, Uruses and G Wagens, think I’d rather see 9288s and 740s.
Pic 4
Is just along from No.2 and nose to tail parked S Class cabs waiting for Arab birds in those shops and galleries these days.

Re: Found pics
Agreed on the Rekord (C) Caravan, judging by the very FD-Victor like treatment of the rear side windows. One of the few estate cars available with both 2 and 4 side doors.....
I'd rather see Allegros than Cullinans (had to google that and the Ursus thing, wish I hadn't....)

Re: Found pics
Thought I’d find a picture of that corner now, sure enough a Cullinan outside The Connaught, the building on the far right is that Nat West.
Think I’d prefer my Mk6 or R Type as God and Rolls Royce intended.

But WTF is that Bentley looking kit car ?Think I’d prefer my Mk6 or R Type as God and Rolls Royce intended.
