What did you do today?

Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

Can be had for less than that. £19 delivered so far, but I haven't overly look but half remember a pic of a McGard type one.

Striped the front N/S suspension on the Mrs's Note and turned the coil spring upside down whilst it wasn't raining.

I rebuilt it (in a rush) after the initial MoT for a broken spring and it passed OK and has been trundling around OK. Thing was when I drove it I noticed an occasional klunk and the last time when stationary I turned the wheel and thought "that sounds like a spring moving".

Yep, the very top and bottom coils are about 1/2" difference in diameter so hopefully it's now the right way around.

If it stops raining tomorrow I'll change the N/S/R indicator bulb on the Matiz, otherwise I'll have to keep driving like it's a BMW. Oh, and I'm due a delivery of a pair of rear shocks for the Ibiza as the last time I put any weight in the back it was bouncing around like a bride on her wedding night.

That's just reminded me, I had a dream last night that I had to drive an early Citroen BX with a non working NSF indicator and I was considering hand signal options.

That was just against the handbrake. Which operates on the drive wheels. Not easy. Still working on the service brakes.

Got home, took the old one out, new one in. Milometer flashing, radio not working, hunting on idle.

Looking around the internet, seems I need to take it to a Fiat dealer to get it plugged into a Proxi machine to reset the ECU and BCM. And no doubt pay through the nose for it.

What a fucking faff. Never had these issues with my Mk IV Cortinas
Found an independant Fiat specialist recommended by the owner of a garage I use, so he booked by phone for Friday.

Currently out on a drive to a granite supplier. No change with anything in the car EXCEPT now the air con doesn't work (fan is fine).
It's 24°c here at the moment, so could do with it....
