Did you save much buying it direct rather than a UK seller. Want to get one eventually so always interested in opinions.

Re: Eddie Honda's wheels of steel (and occasionally alloy)
Well, being in Ireland, buying from the UK now is customs on top of currency hassle.
Locally on DoneDeal and Adverts, sellers are asking anywhere between €150-250, which is nonsense.
Via AliExpress, shipped from "France", "EU stock", "From France to Ireland via FR_LOCAL_DHL_EU". Well I'm not convinced it's strictly true, given the tracking starts in Germany and it has CZ(echia?) in the shipper title...
Anyway - 5kw compact heater was €97.99 (£84.18) including free delivery. No customs, no hassle, inc. Irish 23% VAT.
This is destined for the shed of dread.
The 2kw night heater was €92.99 (£79.89) all in. I'll see if matey with the Land Rover with a shit heater is interested, or else I'll find another vehicle to stick it in.

I've just changed my country setting and see this.
Price varies just a few quid depending on output. I've no idea how this compares to local UK prices.

The all in one unit looks ideal. I was told, don't know how true it is, that all the Chinese heaters were 8kw regardless of any other claimed output. Maybe that's changed as there are a few different designs now.

Re: Eddie Honda's wheels of steel (and occasionally alloy)
I'd be interested in getting a petrol one if I can find/adapt one because I might eventually get round to recommissioning the GS...
In the meantime though, I've got kero at the pumps locally (or more realistically, borrowed from the home heating tank).

TOOL PORN
Went online shopping on Monday. Shipped Wednesday. Arrives Friday. FROM JAPAN (I'm still waiting on stuff from way, way closer to turn up, bunch of slow bastards)
Despite hole, nothing missing.
MOAR Koken.
Some AF regular and semi-deep sockets, metric hex bits, ⅜" breaker bars, spinners and adapters.
Over-torque your responsibility.
Overlay translation on the Google eyeball doesn't match the text version. "COOKING", aye?
