They were popular when I was younger along with the runner. I always fancied a runner but wasn't a fan of the DNA. They had issues with water ingress in the dashboard which caused problems.Warren t claim wrote: ↑Sun Mar 17, 2024 7:50 pmThe Gilera DNA used to be a popular half bike half scooter.fraser wrote: ↑Sun Mar 17, 2024 11:11 am Thanks for the feedback guys. I've found a lexmoto 50cc bike on marketplace 2020 for £400. Won't come out of gear. He bought it to fix for his son, but his enthusiasm outpaced his skill. He also thinks it has 31 thousand km, but the stupid cunt is counting the red one on the right which measures 10ths, so really only 3.1k.

I CBT'd a few lads with DNAs. They ride quite nicely.bub2006 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 17, 2024 9:58 pmThey were popular when I was younger along with the runner. Depends how it's registered...robbed from C90 Club:bub2006 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 17, 2024 9:57 pmI do know the c50 semi auto wasn't a moped category so wasn't sure if it still was in place as I don't think the hunter for example is limited.Eddie Honda wrote: ↑Sun Mar 17, 2024 4:55 pmI don't think so. Old mopeds are UK national cat 'p' 30mph which is different to EU-wide cat 'AM', which is 45km/h and other jazz. It's close, but not exactly the same.
Maybe that's where it's coming from, rather than the gears themselves.

Re: Scooter for a 16 year old
Lots of variations then. Still an older article though as it refers to 50cc on full car licence prior to 2013 but that now stands for everyone providing they've done a CBT once only and gave a full car licence.Eddie Honda wrote: ↑Sun Mar 17, 2024 10:14 pmDepends how it's registered...robbed from C90 Club:bub2006 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 17, 2024 9:57 pmI do know the c50 semi auto wasn't a moped category so wasn't sure if it still was in place as I don't think the hunter for example is limited.Eddie Honda wrote: ↑Sun Mar 17, 2024 4:55 pm

Can a 16 year old still ride an unrestricted pre '77 50?

Re: Scooter for a 16 year old
If anyone does ride a moped on those rights without L-plates. If they then take their CBT to ride a 125 do they have to start displaying the L-pates on the 50cc too?

I've never CBT'd a punter so he can ride a 50 in a car licence.

I was thinking the bike provisional might override the grandfather rights to the A1M, although it shouldn't as it's a different class.Warren t claim wrote: ↑Sun Mar 17, 2024 10:44 pmI've never CBT'd a punter so he can ride a 50 in a car licence.
