The 'track' and position numbers should be green, I think it only comes on with the lights.

i only noticed as the S for sport looked illuminated but I couldn't see the button next to that for the cruise (if yours has it).
Ah, okay. No the track doesn't light up green. The cruise button is also burned, guessing that's a grain of wheat bulb. Looks like a Ford switch.

Two more on the List.

I need to do the Sport switch & the track on mine, just never bothered. The details of those bulbs are on that forum I suggested somewhere.

Just ordered a pack of the little "grain of wheat" style bulbs that go in the switches, climate panel and gear shifter.

Ime on those bulbs, once one blows others are due to blow soon after. The shock of removing the cluster can kill the other marginal bulbs.

Plus old bulbs are dimmer and it's obvious especially with backlight bulbs when only some have changed.

Yup. The knocks and bumps finished off the last two bulbs in the dash.
Replaced them all.

Super duper(!) premium sound.

It works, and powers the speakers (that don't sound stock) in the doors. 4x50W so not too shabby for the era.

There's wiring for a second amp and a sub. Fair do. I guess that'll be on the wishlist. Probably just stick a 12" on a 400-500W class D and call it done.

I suppose you can now say the car has a V12 in it.

I'm always suspicious of quality of electrical installation when I see aftermarket audio installs. At least it's Alpine in there being decent aftermarket audio brand. Nowadays it'd likely be some cheap arse generic Chinese brand from Amazon that lie on its specs.

I do need to go buy some more connectors. They just screwed the wires down and the condensation got up inside and rusted the wires.

Found my first wiring fault also, left indicator repeater has been rewired. Unsure why. But, it doesn't work.

However, I do now have the full service manual on my computer and it tells me now things should come apart.
