Back to the motorhome today to get it ready for use. Started with making sure the water system was working, it wasn't. Pump fired up ok but no water out of the tap. As I'd filled the tank yesterday I was pretty sure it was the outlet value on the pump that was stuck rather than anything serious. This has happened before and I have fitted a backup pump next to the main one. Swapped it over and water starts flowing.
Decided I'd use the parcel shelf of the Note as a workbench..

Whip it to bits and it's that little black circle in the middle that sticks, and I mean stick. It really takes a bit of force to get it loose.

Once fixed it usually* works OK for the rest of the year
Stuck a screw in one of the plastic grills on the side to stop it falling off and called it a day.
I polished the Jag, with Autoglym no less. I managed to do all the car (apart from the roof) while sat on the floor though I did have to prop myself up to do the bonnet/boot. It was 6 Paracetamol job though and the pain is delightful right now.
I then washed and polished the wheels, what a busy little tosspot I have been.
I have to go to Worthing on Monday morning to collect a mobility scooter for my dad. (His old one is up for grabs if anyone wants it, 4 wheel 8mph well used) I have a customer transit in at the moment that has a random cutting out issue and has seen very little use over the last few years so I asked if I could borrow it. The customer was fine with this so I thought I better just check it over this morning ready to go on Monday. Bloody mot runs out today so I have to go back to my original plan. Taxed the Renault 25 and sorted the tow bar wiring this afternoon so fingers crossed it will be ok as it has been parked up since december. I must remember that I will have a trailer on as I do tend to make the most of the 2.5 turbo whenever I get a chance.
Took the T2 for a run out before the place is rammed with tourists who'd be a bit upset at the smokescreen it'd leave as it burns.
Still no fire though, it must have a guardian angel.
Changed the seized NSR caliper. Part arrived yesterday and only difference I can see is pattern one has a BFO spring on the outside to pull the handbrake cable off.

Probably took longer to get the tools down the drive than do it.
As the drive is on a slope I had the front at the top of the drive so bleeding involved waiting for the fluid to fill the new caliper and start leaking over the drive (just as Mrs BMH returned home).
Dropped the bairn off in Shields and checked my diary. Fuck all in for today. I must have fancied a long weekend. Going to Blackpool Friday morning too.
Got a sprayer with some tfr in and doused the bike before using the battery jet wash. Great piece of kit and sucks from a bucket too if you don't have an outside tap.
Just got to wash and wax it now.

MoT pass for the MGB but they still have it to look into the 'flickering' oil pressure when warm.
Normally it's steady at 65-70 but has recently started rapidly flicking between 75 and 80. I suspect a stuck oil pressure relief valve but am no expert.
It's 50 years old now so is entitled to have a bit of a tizzy.
Turns out it was a gummed up oil pressure relief valve much to the relief of my wallet.
Otherwise I'd have to go all Mongbridge and contact the previous owner for a full refund, which might be a tad difficult as he sold it some 48 years ago.
10 Paracetamol day today. Sunshine for a change and it was hot outside so I took Bella out early(ish) and when we got home, I decided to polish the Merc as it's not been done in a year, well, not with Autoglym. I left the stereo on and the roof was down so Pink Floyd (no Oink!) blaring away. Naturally, within 30 minutes the battery died.
£150 from the AA a year ago and it's fucking useless.
Anyway, my old jump pack did actually start her okay so took the heap of shit for a run-around, went to Halfords and spent too much but did get them to test the battery; fine, needs a charge! Got home and assembled various extension leads and dug out the charger so it's sat outside with the bonnet up and the battery on charge.
I went a bit mad at that point and decided to paint all the wheel bolts, the calipers, the brake back plates, and anything else that could benefit from silver paint, then I cleaned the inside of the fucker, it gets really mucky with slobbery dog drool everywhere (I wipe it down every day after walkies) and the carpet was hanging with mutt hairs.
So it's been polished, had the wheels done, loads of bits painted and I even put the roof up to do that bit, I usually forget that, and now, I am fucked. And some bird has shat all over the front of the Jag after I lovingly polished it, fucking flying shitehawks!
