That is a bit overkill worrying about a bit of magnetism. I don't think it will make much difference but mine all either have a bit of rubber in them or nothing so have never had an issue. The bit of hose is the best way to get them out and put new ones in if need be.

Possibly. I've seen a pictogram somewhere in a tool catalogue advising against it.

I've a brass clip Koken one. Still have all my 8 original coils in my Jizz.

It's a Honda it will still be on it's original coils and pretty much everything else. They are cockroaches and will still be around after we are all long gone.

Not always!

*Looks at his wife's Civic with the recent, singular new coil in it*

There is quite a good classic meet down in a campsite in Cheddar on a Sunday morning. Not far from the cheddar car boot market either. I'm not massively into car boots but it's a pretty big one.
I'd have gone down today but had to wait in for the 330i tyres to be fitted. Plus I need to finish getting the Spitfire ready for this season.
They also have a meet up on a Wednesday evening at Chew Valley Farm Park too. Pizza and stuff available to buy and a great view over Chew Valley. Plus if you have (grand)kids in tow, the farm park is open for a wander too if they need to be distracted.

There is often a (smaller) meet at the blue bowl inn on a Saturday lunch time:

Food is mostly burgers and stuff but they're pretty good. Usually gets booked up in the restaurant, so worth booking in advance.

Good info cheers....We are at a rockabilly weekend which pretty much fizzles out by Sunday so I might check out early and go to that boot sale one....
There's a great long bar in Rock & Roll heaven.......

The return journey involved loops of Basingstoke as my mate got lost.....
We then just squeezed past as a big crash closed the roundabout before London Road......
He ignored me and then ran out of fuel after hairing off ahead - luckily I saw his Focus and him climbing back in as I wafted by. I stopped 2miles later to fill up and he'd messaged about conking out, so I doubled back and sorted a jerry can and him sorting a fill up......

He was propositioned 3 times by a one with a couple of sorts along with him and by 2 gentlemen who were all alone..... He'd coasted into the local dogging and cottaging hot-spot! 🤣

Rest of the journey was faultless...... MoT tomorrow AM and see what I'm dealing with.

Yesterday I had a little job picking a bloke up from a pub in a village near Kircudbright , “ I’ve got breakfast booked for 09.30” says he, “ OK, order me a full Scottish with Haggis and Tatty scones” I reply.
Distance 347 miles and it’s raining , a lot , everywhere.

Set my alarm for 05.00, did I make it? Course I fucking did. Would have been half an hour earlier if the cameras on the M1 and bottom half of the M6 weren’t every 5 miles or so. Felt like the late Alan Clark powering up over Shap at 130 with a great plume of spray in the mirror, Radio 4 whispering away and the peasants all still in bed.

The return journey was not improved by sitting in a queue for an hour and half whilst the wreckage of a car was removed from the trees on the M6, guess where.. Oops, yes the South side of Shap, in my defence the swathe of greenery removed pointed to it being a much smaller car going much slower and without a driving God behind the wheel.
Back to the day job tomorrow, towing a 3 tonne trailer behind an old Defender at 45 mph, variety, the spice of life? Bollocks!

Liked for the Alan Clark reference....Sybaritic motoring has alas eluded me so far but I could rise to the occasion very easily.

Started picking up the remains of the garage. First time since it fell that I've had the mental frame of mind to actually do it.

Yet more to go, but that's a start

How the fuck did you have any Radio 4 reception round there? It always turns to shit and the only thing receivable is Classic FM
