If only it was an Activa.
You'd be the quickest thing on the roads bar Ariel Atoms.

Easy to narrow down. Binnacle is xantia,5k redline says diesel, digital odometer is only on facelift and the only diesel on a face lift is hdi.

Re: My new daily roundabout!
So I've had a good look at this car now. It's as described in the advert. Mechanically excellent with some rust and some welding repairs. Looks ok from ten foot away.
Some dents and some rust some dodgy body repairs some wob and an oval tyre. This was mentioned to me as a steering wobble at 30 mph so not a surprise luckily I already had a good tyre so that was a free repair.
So despite all that, this car drives well. Cleanest diesel oil I've ever seen the chap I got it off trusted it enough to take it to Italy last year The interior is almost perfect even the boot it's a non keypad his model so not only does the suspension not sink not do I have to wait for the glow plugs and as a bonus there is no code to type in so this is a Xantia you can get away in a hurry with. Plus it's an extra place to keep more crap

Re: My new daily roundabout!
Original dealer plate and sticker porn!
My plan is just to drive it and see what happens. So long as it's reliable it can stay. It will be pulling a caravan in the summer and occasionally my car trailer so it will earn its keep.
The only things I need to do to it are fix the drivers seat which moves up when you get out. Quite annoying. Also it could do with some rear spheres at some point, but no rush doing that, it's not solid yet.
I was never keen on these facelifted ones, they always looked a bit squinty to me and the complexity of the HDi always put me off to but I'm glad now really, it'll stop me putting WVO and lard in it
So to sum up, what a bargain. This car has been looked after well by the previous owner. It's just had an MoT , oh and did I mention it owes me £200?? Well, more like £280 after buying train tickets, diesel and lunch but I'm my book that's still pretty good. My plan is just to drive it and see what happens. So long as it's reliable it can stay. Re: My new daily roundabout!
Actually I just realised you are wrong, sorry. I did once have a T reg facelift with a turbo XUD in it. Must have been old stock laying around. That was a hatchback though.
Anyway, I do remember that car because it was one owner, low mileage and service history. At the time, scrap was good and I can always sell a good turbo XUD for at least £200 so I put it on Autoshite for £295 thinking I might be doing someone a good turn, as to me it was worth saving but if course the usual twats, Cavcraft and I think Sierraman chimed in telling me it was worthless scrap and I was taking the piss putting it up for more than £100. Fools.I remember getting back £500 in the end.

When I picked up the Xantia last Tuesday evening I zeroed the odometer. Took this photo before I left today

I had 2 of those, great cars. The estates were subcontracted by PSA, so built by a proper company, unlike the regular hatches.
