Is that X-Trail and Zantia outfit the one you had a lesson in physics in? Still can't believe how much better that Kingfisher looks in pictures than reality

Re: Trailer Trash
Oh you mean where I had to pick my broken X Trail up with the Xantia which wasn t taxed or mot'd then load it backwards as I had broken down in an awkward spot, the had to go back through the lanes to avoid the filth then the Xantia started to wheelspin going up a steep hill, then go backwards, then I had to back it into a bank to stop it sliding further? Is that what you mean? As I'm used to towing with 4x4s, I hadn't even thought of that hill! Had to walk to a nearby farm where luckily I know the farmer. He was the one I bought the 305s off.Scruffy Bodger wrote: ↑Tue Mar 03, 2020 11:50 am Is that X-Trail and Zantia outfit the one you had a lesson in physics in? Re: Trailer Trash
It was a lovely car, one of the last of that shape. I had it a few years but the chassis was getting really ripe. I did a load of welding on it for the mot but I knew it would keep needing more. Then as my life was changing and I no longer needed a heavy duty tow car and got sick of it doing under 20mpg (very hilly round here) I decided to let it go. Going to Ukraine is a good end though, hopefully they will get more use out of it than a UK buyer would.
Here is a picture of it with its camp little mudflaps, side steps and road tyres and
And after I had done some welding on it I decided it looked better without them. It got some proper tyres too I do miss that car but it's hard living with someone with a drinking problem!
Here is it dispatching a Kangoo. The previous owner of this bought another Kangoo and the very next week it snapped a torsion bar on the rear axle. This one had a good axle

Chrysler P T Cruiser
He sold it to NGLeeds I think it was, who was going to make it into a van which I think is a good idea, they can look good if done right.
Just checked online though. It appears it is no longer with us.
A straight, well looked after car before it was painted black. I used it for a bit then sold it to Clayts450 off some other forum. Yes another decent chap.He sold it to NGLeeds I think it was, who was going to make it into a van which I think is a good idea, they can look good if done right.

They actually look good as a van, which is a damn sight better than they look as a car!

That'd be the one That bank is fucking steep! When I was a kid our Lada refused to go up it one day on the way back home, Mum had to back to the bottom of it and take an alternative, gentler route to get home.CLINT wrote: ↑Tue Mar 03, 2020 8:10 pmOh you mean where I had to pick my broken X Trail up with the Xantia which wasn t taxed or mot'd then load it backwards as I had broken down in an awkward spot, the had to go back through the lanes to avoid the filth then the Xantia started to wheelspin going up a steep hill, then go backwards, then I had to back it into a bank to stop it sliding further?
