Re: Wobland Spottage
No pics, I'm afraid but there is a bloke outside the Post Office up the road from me trying to start a 1948 Ford. It obviously got there under its own steam but didn't want to return. Think its flooded (smells like it) and it sounds like there are only 4 of the 6 volts left. Another car had just arrived so he seemed to have plenty of help on hand. Don't fancy pushing that......

Re: Wobland Spottage
I do like those VW campers, especially in patinated condition. Couldn't own one though, way too popular. I could only buy one if everyone thought they were shit and worthless.

Talking of VW campers, I was out in mine tonight parked up at a local forest pond. This turned up - I heard it first, thanks to those pipes!

Re: Wobland Spottage
They were nicknamed Belsens back in the day, mainly because the sorry heaps of shit would try to gas the occupants once the heater channels rotted out. They are absolutely fucking hateful in every respect. The original Transit could not arrive fast enough.

Re: Wobland Spottage
I almost prefer these to the E Type in the same way I prefer a Mark I saloon to the Mark II.mercrocker wrote: ↑Wed May 20, 2020 10:08 pm Talking of VW campers, I was out in mine tonight parked up at a local forest pond. This turned up - I heard it first, thanks to those pipes!
