Without had the fuel tank off and inspected it, exactly the reason I don't want to do hot work right next to the tank and fuel pump!

Decided I am going to rivet that brake hose plate on. Safer option in regards to fitting and there is virtually no load on it either.
Will be the first time I've ever rivetted something though. Also hoping I'm going to be able to get a drill both in place and through the metal.

I wouldn't recommend using aluminium rivets in steel.
Better to use stainless nuts and bolts.

I'd say it was intentionally thought but it wasn't! I didn't actually read the packet before I ordered them...
But yes them bonding together isn't a bad thing. Was going to weld it on otherwise anyway.
