Car & Classic
Is it me, or are cars listed on Car & Classic now second fiddle to adverts? I know its a free service, but fuck me, its gone crazy.

Where else are you seeing these adverts in such volume?

Download "Adblock".
You can't seriously browse the internet without it. The other advantage is that newspapers don't like it and will stop you reading their fantasist hysteria once they detect it.

Good point - I use adblocker and it's a very good reminder any time anyone sends me a link to the Mail online, that I don't want to read anything in the Mail online.

I hoped the greedy bastards had shot themselves in the foot as I just give up on any site where you have to hunt for content through endless ads. However I could be wrong as the vast majority who watch commercial TV (olden days speak) still sit waiting for the programme break in the middle of the main jamrag and erectile dysfunction feature.
I never watch live Telly because even on the BBC you need to edit out half the material which has been repeated because they assume their viewers have forgotten what happened 5 minutes ago. This can't be a new thing as for years they've been signing off with "you have been watching......" Presumably aimed those so feeble minded that they didn't actually know what they were doing.

Re: Car & Classic
Telly is also easily dealt with. Mrs Rocker still watches one but only on her freeview box where she saves programmes and whizzes through any ads. Speaking of advertisements, the worst of these are still on the so-called "free" BBC. If they're not pushing minorities down your throat, they're blowing their own trumpets or trying to flog you a crap calendar.
I'd rather be told what cornflakes to eat or soap powder to buy - those commercials are far easier to ignore.

I use uBlock Origin, it seems to block more of them. But agreed the net is nearly unusable without some form of ad block.mercrocker wrote: ↑Sat Jun 27, 2020 8:14 am Download "Adblock".

Use uBlock.
Adblock and adblock plus sold out and will let adverts through that pay money to Adblock and Adblock Plus.

Not sure about that? I use Adblock plus on every browser I use, phone and laptop and don't see any ads at all, including Youtube videos. I also tend to use Opera as that has a built in adblocker now.
