I believe the dev team who worked on them run a fleet of MGBs so they knew what a proper car was, it seems to have worked from everything I hear.paulplom wrote: ↑Fri Aug 28, 2020 4:10 pmI reckon it's the car rover should have made and called it an mg.mercrocker wrote: ↑Fri Aug 28, 2020 1:18 pm Always one of these hovering on my radar, especially an early UK market one. They really have become a latter-day Spitfire or Spridget .
More than a passing interest here.....
I've tracked it a couple of times. I was out on Monday and really went for it, squealing, skidding round the corners. I got home and realised I'd melted the tyres. I was picking slugs of rubber off them. I must have been doing it right.
Here's the drivers front.

Re: What did you do today?
Eventually decided to change the drivers wing mirror on the ST today that's only been broken for months and had the replacement sitting in the kitchen for a couple of weeks.
Some twat had popped the glass out and it wouldn't go back in. Got one in the right colour from ebay. Checked the part numbers first and yes both versions of the mk6 Fiesta have the same wing mirrors.
No they fucking don't.
When they updates the car they changed not only the connection but looks like it has an extra screw. No worries though as with the mirror off I managed to get the glass back in, not jammed and moving on the motors.
Have to ebay the replacement mirror though.

Re: What did you do today?
I washed the SuLK and got annoyed (slightly) at the minuscule damage still on the passenger side wing from errant trees, it is so minor no one but a complete knob would even see it... oh yes, complete knob her - still got a foreskin!
So I did the unthinkable and drove the bloody thing! Went to Totnes with the mutts, sunshine aplenty not too much traffic (a bit though ) and nice to just drive. Not been anywhere since before Lockdown!

It's so long since I've been anywhere other than the park/shops etc the bloody car nearly had an FTP since it wasn't going the way it knew, but some different, odd way that involved going faster than 30MPH (nearly had three digits up in a couple of hundred yards of dual carriageway) and over-taking things other than pensioners on mobility scooters.
Was fun!

That's a tidy looking thing. I would like a mk 2 again. Is this a mk3 or 4?
