My experience too.

Would make a good replacement for your ever unreliable Merc ;)

I had thought of that but the chances of a sale occuring in time to purchase such a worthy replacement are sadly minimal.....

This doesn't seem a too unreasonable price

Hooli wrote: Sun Aug 30, 2020 2:08 pm Bloody hell, can't remember when I last saw one of them let alone a SRi.

Wasn't there a resto thread on a blue on a few years ago on AS?
Back in 1997 one of the directors at the company I repped for brought his 1982, carb fed 1.6 SR, saloon non injection that he'd owned from new into the office to see if any of the staff wanted it for free.

Like a total prick I was late in that day and missed out as he'd already phoned the scrap man by the time I arrived. Other than some slight scabbery on the rear valance it was perfect.

That does seem surprisingly cheap and unmolestered.

Indeed - nice looking thing - I am not a Minor expert, but shouldn't this have a black speedo and two spoke wheel to go with the later front and rear lights? (Just asking not moaning).

There are 3 minors inc a van rotting to fuck on land behind an ex pub near me. Think they are still there, they were in practical classics years ago.
As I suspected I was right about everything.

No it is correct....Tandem wipers and later light units came in during October 1963 but the update to dash, speedo and steering wheel didn't occur until
the following October. Chassis number of this one indicates a Summer 1964 build.

That minor is something that I'd be very tempted with, especially as that's my preferred price point for classic projects. Just with 3 out of 6 cars currently not useable in someway, I really can't justify another that will invariably need work. Even if one car has just gone from the "fleet"...
