Re: Pug 406 escapades
Here we go again.
On way to a friends house to help him strip a car. The stop light briefly lit up and the few seconds it was on I briefly caught the word oil on the centre display. It has popped up before saying low oil because the sensor wiring is a bit wonky soni ignored it. A minute or two later it said stop again and stayed on so I could see what the centre display read. Insufficient oil pressure. Bollocks. Pulled in to side of road and killed the engine as fast as I could. All underneath caked in oil and sump plug nowhere to be seen.- brandersnatch
- I scored very low on the autie test. I’m cheerful, happy, confident, like meeting new people, chatty and largely sociable. What the fuck am I doing on this forum?

Re: Pug 406 escapades
It's going to have done damage but you might just get away with a new plug and it refilled. Hopefully will give a good while longer out of it.

Re: Pug 406 escapades
I'd have took more heed if I noticed oil come onto centre display if it was for more than a couple of seconds and if it didnt occasionally like to flash up low oil level too. Plan is like sic said and that's to fill oil and new sump plug. I hate to think of the damage done to be fair. I guess I'll find out tomorrow when I fill it again.

Re: Pug 406 escapades
Shit, at least you didn't run it until it got noisy or stopped on its own. Fill it up again and see what happens in the next 10k.
Is it worth drilling and lock wiring the sump plug just in case?

Re: Pug 406 escapades
To be honest I keep myself to myself and have a very small social circle and even fewer friends.
