Re: Supercharging the climate with a XJR V8 - Finally sorting the wobbly seat
That van did well today over 350 odd miles. I seriously thought that focus was pinning me out and I called him a cunt for doing so until the van started coughing. I did say something was wrong. Lucky it happened right outside services and not in lane 4 of m1.

Oh and thanks for assistance this evening with the van bulkhead. The pound refused to stay standing.

Aye it's a decent little van for the price, much more comfy than french shit for long trips.

I think it even surprised you to be fair! It certainly did me at relative comfort for a small van. When you swapping seat? I might pop up to point and laugh

Fucking hell these seats are hard work! I've got both in bits & struggling to get one good one built out of the two. Nothing goes back together, as the seat lift motors work against a spring it's damn impossible to line up the little gearboxes well enough to slide them into place.
Eight damn hours of effort & I've got the 'new' seat about 1/4 built. I've given up for the night as I can't crawl around the floor trying to get it together any longer.
As an aside I'm pretty sure there is more wire & ECUs in one seat than in Bub's entire van.

I'm certain that there is. I've actually been thinking whats electric on my van to compare. Theres no sensors on engine, just a wire to starter, pump and alternator. Obviously lights, indicators and ancillaries and the stereo with 2 speakers. Have the seats got their own ecu too?

Yup, ECU on each seat, five potentiometers, seven motors, heaters, seatbelt warning & the side airbag.
Fucking things, beginning to wish I'd paid for a memory seat. It'd be done & in hours ago.

We'll see, the electrical side is easy enough. It's just getting these cunting gearbox bits in against the heavy springs that lift the seat.
