I have a few laptops that just have diagnostics on and nothing else. Also turn off the wi-fi before using them as you don't want them connecting to the net and updating as it can cause the software to stop working. That reminds me has anyone seen a recent copy of autodata the last one was 2014 I think and I really should update but hate the rip off prices of the subscriptions. Bring back the old books I say, I have got some of the last they did from 2011.
I did hear XP was best for it but 32-bit Win7 would be fine. I need to do a system reset (I think) to stop the wipers going mental when I open a door, and to reinstate/diagnose the central locking which works when it feels like it.

Now I’ve finished my self isolation because covid, I got some winter tyres fitted to the C2. I picked up a set of OEM alloys from F***book marketplace for pennies, which were fitted with some god awful linglongs or something. Scooped up some correct size part worn winter boots on eBay also for pennies.

Fronts were a bit old but the rears are dated 2019 so I’ll wear the old ones first. Car still pulls to the left a bit but nowhere near as bad as on the 14” steels. Then again one of the steels did leak around the bead.

Got some wipers to fit to the C2 and a battery to fit to Madam’s MINI.

They look like picarsole alloys. I've never drove a c2 and always fancied a vts one.

It’s a hoot. Feels like a grown up 104/Samba/LNA without the gearbox whine.

I had a saxo vts and it's in my top three favourite cars. These have the same engine and are lighter I'd imagine.

Given the age of the 106/Saxo chassis I think they are the lighter car. My C2 is the 1.4HDi

In addition to the above:

Saxo 830-935kg
C2 960-1000kg

The Saxo/106 was a better handling car because it had proper trailing arms instead of the dead axle the C2 has.

When PSA abandoned the 104/205 chassis and the rear torsion bar suspension the handling qualities of their cars dropped. They're still good, but inferior to what they had before.

Had the wheel alignment done today. 4-wheel for £30 using a discount code for National Tyres in Bognor. Car has pulled yo the left all the time I have had it.

Not sure what the default settings for the car are but on the flags suspended from rear wheels front left was toeing out 1.48 degrees, front right toeing in 0.7 degrees.

Car is much better now but steering wheel is on the cock.
