Would the rest of the country notice?
Harsh but probably fair as we do have Bridgwater here which really is a "special" place.

I remember an ex-colleague of mine emigrating to America in the 1990s. He was quite a conservative car-buyer - Cavalier 1.6L, Mk 3 Escort - that kind of thing. Always in doom blue and/or in one-above-pov spec. He often berated my taste in Americana and barge-like big Fords.

First Christmas after he went we all got tasteful* Prontaprint Xmas cards showing the family in technicolour reindeer sweaters, all grouped around a Custom Cruiser just like that but still shiny and new. He's still out there somewhere but I doubt if the Olds survived. Probably has a Prius now.

Was that chop born out of necessity and built by someone that lives in a bedsit?

This is the guy who built it and still owns it.

Can't say I'm a fan of really skinny bars either, looks a quality build though.

Saw a Ford Cougar today. Can't remember the last time, etc.... There's also a Puma in the weeds in a polytunnel up the road from me, not seen it out for a couple of years but it looked pretty minging when he pushed it into there.
