Anyway - Hadleigh in 1977

I'd like to see the same pictures taken today.

The Tombstones in thatmk3 GT reminded me of racing my mate Dave in his GT, as we came Into our estate my brother tried to warn us about a Police Chevette in the street, by doing the Jim Davidson Nick Nick thing with his hands on his head.. I’d already turned into our street and almost hit the Chevette head on, Dave couldn’t make the corner and went straight on. The Coppers stopped me after a short pursuit with me reversing and almost out dragging them,. I told them I’d just changed my pads and was testing the brakes when I must have cut up the Cortina who was chasing me. Luckily the old Copper was an old school racist and said he could see it was 2 ( insert 80’s racist description for black blokes) and I was lucky to get away. Meanwhile Dave comes walking up the road, all innocent looking after parking the Cortina behind some houses.

I wish they still had those, I might consider flying. Proper armchairs, a dining room and bedrooms, rather than rammed in like battery hens

Be great wouldn't it? There used to be flying boat services from Southampton Water down to South Africa, India and connecting to Australia. Must have taken bloody ages but how much nicer....
