Re: Found pics
That A60 was a regular at the Clacton area shows years ago, I last saw it at the Plough Corner one in 2010 with a for sale sign in the windscreen. Now living in North Wales according to FB.
Re: Found pics
Snapped in 2012, this sat for years outside a garage near Berkhamsted with a broken window but now gone, fate unknown. Had numerous show plaques and stickers inside including for early Goodwood Revivals so spent some time loved. Plate now on a 2018 Golf.
Re: Found pics
Another from 2012, Austin A50 near Watford. Was picked up as scrap in the 80's and has remained in this shed since.

Sad end to that cab....I really like FX3s, my favourite London cab design.
Here's the car at one of the Beaulieu "cab" rallies, some time in the 1990s, sorry haven't dated the photo!

There's a great long bar in Rock & Roll heaven.......

Re: Found pics
I had a feeling it would still be extant but thanks so much for providing the evidence, I knew you'd know. Sun visor looks a bit wank but it's nice to see it still plodding on.

Re: Found pics
You've just jogged my memory with that.. Spring of 2008 I'd just bought an E30 318i and had to park my Xantia up. It went into a barn on a farm on the outskirts of Colchester since swallowed up in newbuild shite.. In the barn was a really sound mid-blue A90 Westminster, DDX928, 28 thousand miles, blue and white seats , flat tyres, busted glass and covered with straw and dust. A little bit of rummaging in the interior unearthed its last tax disc from 1984. I left a cheeky bid of two hundred quid with the old boy who claimed to own it and promptly forgot all about it. About a year later I heard someone had taken it away for £100..Ah well.

Re: Found pics
I grew up in West Bergholt, a smallish village just outside Colchester and this little Mitsubishi was a common sight during my childhood. Its original owners lived on the main road into town and let it go for a tenner in about 2001 and I think it went up north as a spares car, despite appearances it was fairly rotten under the skin. My piece of shit Maestro turdodiesel behind, which rather neatly dates the picture.

Re: Found pics
This one is the last for now, and is rather unusual in that it also depicts its owner. This was about 20 years ago and I'd lay money this doesn't survive. It was a fairly clean old heap, plastic wings aside, but was far and away the most gutless B-series Farina I ever travelled in.

Re: Found pics
That photo of the grey/grey A60 reminds me of a teacher at my primary school, the horrible Mr Adamson. He drove a grey A55 Farina but then one day turned up at school with a new A60 which was either the same colour or had a white flash. He sold the A55 to my form teacher Mr Stone who was a much nicer man. One day in the 90's I spotted a grey A60 coming towards me with a wizened old man behind the wheel and I was bloody sure that it was Mr Adamson at the wheel. That would be 30 years later!
