That's grand, just wants a set of slot mags and I would be happy to daily that.

Got so much character compared to modern stuff.

Well, I never..I only took two pictures of it at the time,it was languishing on a driveway near Little Clacton about ten or twelve years ago and disappeared not so long after.

That was pretty much the idea I'd had when I heard about it, albeit intending to fit P5B Rostyles because I could get a set locally. But it was pretty crusty up close and a note through the letterbox never elicited any response.

Seen the occasional Hillman but don't think I have encountered an Audax Gazelle estate for many years now.

The estates are so rare aren't they? I can't remember the last time I saw one especially a Gazelle. Regarding the Snipe being on the telly I wonder if it was supplied by the Rootes publicity department, they were pretty good at product placement for films and TV back then.

That Gazelle estate in the photo was the last one I saw in the metal and that was twenty one years ago. There was a chap the other end of Essex to me (at that time) who had two,one of which being the only one I ever saw which wasn't two tone green. Another was raced at Hednesford pre-68 a few years back by one of the W.I. team and since they were an Essex team I'd wondered if it was the rougher of those two.
