I know I should lust after a Carmen Red 3.8 on chrome wires , as tradition dictates , but I love the thin bumper , steel wheeled 240/340 . If it was white with bright red Ambla and a B/W 35 slurring me sedately along road, I’d be more content than fighting a manual overdrive Coombs rep.

Better still a Daimler 250 V8, maybe with a Majestic Major 4.5 thrown in to be the best of both Worlds.

The Oranges used to be parked on Berko High Street, I used to walk past them quite often in the 90s, as we only lived a few miles away and Berko was the nearest town..

I’d forgotten about those, I remember passing them in pre-A41 by-pass days. I spent many hours crawling through Berkamstead in various Jags , driving my Guvnor home from Edgware to Aston Clinton.
