A mate of mine had a silver 1750SS, that went quite well.

He used it for the university run from Leeds to Manchester for about 8 years, doing a Masters and then Ph.D. in chemistry. I don't know what eventually happened to it as he moved to York to be a teacher and I lost touch with him as I'd also moved away.

I remember taking the engine out of one in a scrappy with the intent of fitting it in my metro. I Didn't get any further than that. I can't remember why though. The first two thirds years of the nineties is all a bit hazy for some reason.
Maybe because I was always pissed and stoned.

Maybe not farming but my collie dog Tor loved travelling round The Isle of Arran on the back of my motorbike in the 70s

When we were in Crete there was a guy running an excursion business whose dog, some sort of Alsatian if I remember correctly, rode on the back of his scooter like that.
