Didn't he also go round the feudal village he "owned" pestering people to get their dull moderns out of garages so that he could put them to better use?
Mind you, I'd be no better if I was rich - can't be arsed to move so I would just buy the street up and rent the houses to non-drivers so I could fill the driveways and garages.
