Yeah only just refound the picture and searched the reg. I've never seen it in person as that predates me seeing Mrs SiC by about a decade.

Apparently her great nan was a 40mph driver. Once accelerated into fourth gear, the car stayed in that gear and everywhere was covered at the fabled 40mph.

She was only allowed as a passenger with her nan (not great nan) or dad driving it...

Sold by C.G Brown in Thatcham. I knew it well - it closed in the late eighties or early nineties.

Yes it was a local car. As I've said before (as you've mentioned you lived around Newbury area too), I know Newbury area well (including going to school) and where Mrs SiC is from originally. That picture was taken where her great nan lived - up at Wash Common way.
