I used to know of a garage in Sheffield that had about six in various states of repair, all lined up across the back of the workshop.

When they first came out, the local Fine Fare had one inside the shop, all the kids, me included , queued up to play in it like a 70’s version of a 50pPostman Pat van or summat. I can remember my mum telling me and my brother not jump around in it, because it might fall over.

I always wanted a Bond Bug, until I finally bought one. I think I left it too late as it was a bugger to get in and out of, plus I felt like I would be the crumple zone if it was involved in a crash.
I think I probably only drove it half a dozen times before putting it down to experience and selling it.
Bob the dog didn't like it and unless I grabbed hold of him would jump out before I shut the lid
